K9 Rescue For Warriors is a dedicated veteran based Nonprofit Organization specializing in Rescuing Dogs, and training them as Service Dogs for veterans. Founded by Elliott Gonyon, Eric Gonyon, & Ramesh Bista

 

Elliott Gonyon, with a passionate dog lover and top-tier dog trainer based in Florida. With a rich background steeped in multigenerational military service, Elliott has always harbored a deep love for serving those who serve our country.

 

With years of experience running one of Florida's top dog training companies, identified a pressing need among veterans seeking service dogs. Many veterans already had loyal companions but faced challenges in accessing service dog training programs, which often required them to get new dogs. Understanding the deep bond between veterans and their pets, Elliott helped found K9 Rescue For Warriors to offer a solution.

Eric Gonyon is a dedicated pastor, first responder, and veteran. With a heart for service and a deep appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy in the United States, Eric has devoted his life to helping others, both at home and abroad. His diverse experiences and unwavering commitment to those who have served our country inspired him to become one of the founders of K9 Rescue For Warriors.

His role as a first responder further solidified his dedication to serving others, as he has been on the front lines, offering aid and protection during emergencies and crises.

Throughout his travels to various countries, Eric has witnessed firsthand the stark contrasts between life in the United States and other parts of the world. These experiences have deepened his appreciation for the freedoms and opportunities we often take for granted.

Ramesh Bista is a dedicated dog handler, historian, and community advocate whose life has been shaped by a deep commitment to service and a passion for making a difference. Growing up in a family that was very active in community service, Ramesh learned early on the importance of giving back and supporting those in need. This foundation, combined with his personal experiences and professional background, inspired him to help found K9 Rescue For Warriors.

Ramesh has always had a natural affinity for dogs. His expertise in working with these loyal animals has not only brought joy to his life but has also allowed him to understand the profound impact they can have on people's lives. Whether training dogs for obedience or working with service animals, Ramesh has seen firsthand the incredible bond that can form between a dog and its human companion.

Ramesh’s academic journey led him to study history, where he developed a deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by those who serve their country. His studies were not just about understanding the past but also about recognizing the ongoing struggles faced by veterans. Seeing this firsthand, Ramesh realized that he couldn’t just study history and stand back; he felt a compelling urge to take action and helped found K9 Rescue For Warriors
